Went to josh sam’s house to do gp and bake cookies! First we (manda josh sam gerry and I) went to hougang mall to buy ingredients for my cookies! Gerry was being high, buy rainbow sprinkles buy trix buy almonds! Haha. Josh sam was damn cute, kept calling his mum to clarify stuff, mummy what brand of cocoa do we have to buy maroon brown oh I see it mummy. Haha. Manda and I were debating over what brand of butter to buy. Everything added up to $49.05. woah so expensive. Haha.
Then we met Eileen at josh sam’s block. Went up to josh sam’s house and went to his room. Oh my goodness it is super neat! The bed was completely cleared of books and his tables and shelf and floor were clean too. I regretted not taking a few before and after photos. Haha. He said he woke up early this morning and spent 1 ½ hours cleaning his room. Haha. Great job josh!
Went to his parents’ bedroom to do our gp presentation. Josh’s com doesn’t have powerpoint (?!?) so we had no choice but to copy and paste important points from our research into Microsoft word first. Haha. Then we discussed our interview. Gerry lived up to his name of being the bright spark of S07 and came up with a really good and funny idea for our interview. And he was being really lame the whole time, playing with josh’s baabaa (and torturing it. Haha.). guess hanging out with amos for too long was starting to have its effects. Haha.
Met terry online while doing gp so we decided to invite him over (since he lived near josh and we figured he might be bored and have nothing to do at home). Eileen and terry were arguing with each other online. Haha. Damn funny. Then we went for lunch and gerry had to leave cos he left his file on his table and his parents saw some stuff that were not too pleasing. Don’t worry gerry! Parents are all like this.
We started baking once we got back to josh’s house. Josh’s mum is so nice, helped us a lot. Stirring was tough! Haha. I’m so weak. Then terry came over and started helping us as well. He could stir really well so all of us started wondering whether terry secretly helps his mum with a lot of baking at home. Haha. We underestimated the time and were still baking when 3pm came (we were suppose to meet at east coast park at 2pm). We felt bad for terry cos we sorta forced him to come and tried forcing him out of the house. He refused to budge. So Eileen took his bag and went out of the house. That did the trick and he went out as well. after a really long time (Eileen pulling him out of the house, Eileen manda and I blocking the doorway so he couldn’t get back into the house, Eileen and I ‘fighting’ with him to get the house lock back etc. haha.) we finally managed to get him and josh sam to leave. Haha.
But after a while they came back cos derrick called to say it was raining over at east coast. Then they called derrick who said they were staying cos it looked like the rain was clearing up. Haha. So josh and terry went out again. Haha. Manda and Eileen sacrificed a day of fun at east coast to stay with me and bake my cookies. Thanks loads girls! I love you! It was really fun (but tiring). After a while we got used the routine of baking (lumping it onto the tray, putting it in the oven, taking it out 10 min later and putting a m&m on top, putting it back into the oven, taking it out 10 min later, letting it cool and then putting them into containers). We also baked a cake for terry. Chocolate chip cake with chocolate icing! We even decorated it with smarties, cherries and almonds. Had so much fun decorating! We’re such nice people man… haha. the whole time was crapping quite a bit with manda and Eileen and we also took photos with terry’s cake! It’s so pretty and colourful! Yay.
I was really happy cos I have such wonderful friends who helped me bake cookies when they could have been having fun at east coast. manda Eileen josh sam and terry! Thanks a million for everything you’ve done for me today. I really really appreciate it. Lunch on me on mon! promise! and the cookies were turning out so nicely and terry’s cake was so pretty! Haha. Yay. So happy.
At around 6.30 the rest came over to josh’s house. Mel serene peilian regina derrick paul terry nic yisheng and josh (weiqin came slightly earlier). We were almost done with the cookies (we spent about 6hours baking! Wooh!) and josh’s mum was making dinner for us. She’s so nice! We did help though. I had fun buttering the chicken pies while we had fun with the veggie drying thingie. Haha.
First we celebrated terry’s birthday! Presented the cake to him then gave him the smarties container (he was afraid to open it and derrick was like inside no dog! He was holding it away from himself, like he expected it to blow up in his face or something. Haha.) then gave him his nike soccer shoes! (again he hesitated to open the box and derrick was like wah so big inside got dog. Jacob’s inside! Haha.) It was damn nice, gold and white. Terry you have to wear it everyday to school from Monday onwards! Haha. Could tell he was really touched so at least our efforts were not wasted. He’s super systematic, counted 16 people in the house and cut his cake into 16 equal portions. Woah. Haha.
After eating the cake everyone was really full already but we still had dinner! Josh’s parents ordered pizza, bought prata, baked chicken and tuna pies, made salad and cooked spaghetti for us. ate so much… haha. Manda Eileen and I made a card for josh’s mum for being so helpful and nice to us. Then we watched troy. Left with manda at about 8.30. I had to carry all the cookies home and it was darn heavy. My right hand was numb when I got home. Haha.
Anw congrats on the soccer tem for making it into the semi finals! All the best for the upcoming match against vj! Go saints!

And manda was really fascinated with punggol. It’s so ulu… haha. Met her first at 11 and we went to amos’ house to disturb him. Haha. He said he had been awake since 8.30 cos he was afraid we’d come early and ambush him. Haha. I did a bit of gpp then amos let us watch a really lame movie. It’s seriously lame but it was pretty funny as well. Haha. Laughed too much…
Then we went over to my house to do zhuo wen! Let manda listen to some of the songs off the Anastasia soundtrack and we also had lunch and chatted for a while. We only manage to do a bit of zhuo wen before it was time to go meet gerry and josh sam.
Gerry’s room is friggin neat! If my room was like his my mum and dad would be the happiest people on earth. Haha. We didn’t do much, just an outline of what our presentation would contain. Not gonna reveal anything just yet but I promise our presentation’s gonna be interesting! Or at least we’ll do our best to make it entertaining! Gerry was in his BIG=an A grade mode again. Haha.
Oh and we made gerry laugh an incredible FOUR times! Haha. Wooh! And it’s all thanks to josh sam! He was being really funny and I think 3 out of 4 times gerry was laughing at josh sam. Haha. Josh said next time we spoke to gerry we had to bring a tape recorder so we could capture gerry’s laughter. Haha.
It’s amazing how i still don’t fell sleepy, seeing how i only slept 3 hours last night as a result of doing gp essay and zhuo wen at the last minute. Haha. My gp essay… I think ms tan’s gonna be crying as she marks my paper, I should buy tissue paper for her tmr… haha.
Nearly fell asleep during the double lectures though. I was so sleepy and absolutely freezing. Then serene started being random and I kept laughing at her and in the end I was much more awake. Thanks serene! Haha.
After school went to study chem spa with amos and gerry. Yay that meant when I got home I didn’t have to study so much anymore. Gerry jiayou! Just read the questions carefully and remember to convert to correct values before calculation and everything that amos and I told you! Haha. You can do it.
Oh yeah I wanna thank my cg, the absolutely wonderful 06S07, for being so happy and excited for me when I got through the sc interview. And for being so enthu about campaigning. Especially the girls. THANK YOU! Love you people loads!
Note to self: nothing in life is perfect. It’s full of ups and downs, highs and lows. Not everything will go as you would have liked it to, or even come close to it. Problems you face will only make you a stronger person. you must be optimistic about life and when life gives you so many people who care so much for you, be THANKFUL and treasure every minute you spend with them.
